Job summary

Maverick Power in Texas is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. You will write and optimize G-code for punch presses and CNC mills, interpret SolidWorks models, and help drive efficiency and precision across our machining operations.

You will collaborate with engineering and production, set up programs for testing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. A strong eye for detail and hands-on machining experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC Programmer experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in G-code programming and CNC operation.
• SolidWorks CAD experience and CAM software knowledge (Mastercam, Fusion 360).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints.
• Familiarity with machining materials and cutting tools.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and optimize G-code programs for CNC machines (Punch and Press Breaks).
• Interpret SolidWorks CAD models to create tool paths and machining strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure manufacturability.
• Set up and test CNC programs on machines and adjust as needed.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and suggest process improvements.
• Maintain documentation for CNC programs and tooling setups.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in machining and programming.
