Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Operator in a hybrid role based in the United States. This position focuses on programming, setting up, and operating 3- and 5-axis CNC mills to produce prototype vehicle parts with high precision.

You will translate CAD models into efficient CNC programs and work closely with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience as CNC Programmer/Operator.
• Proven expertise in CNC programming using CAM software.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of material properties and machinability.
• Able to troubleshoot machining problems and improve quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs using CAM software based on 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines with appropriate tooling and parameters.
• Produce precision parts for prototype vehicles meeting tight tolerances.
• Collaborate with design engineers to assess manufacturability and resolve issues.
• Improve machining processes to reduce cycle times and material waste.
• Inspect finished parts with precision measuring tools to verify specs.
• Maintain CNC tooling inventory and ensure tool availability.
• Record CNC programs, setup sheets, and machining parameters accurately.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
