Job summary

Jobot is partnering with an established precision manufacturing company in Houston seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to develop, maintain, and optimize programs for CNC lathes, mills, mill-turns and VTLs. You will work hands-on to improve tooling, setup sheets, and programming standards on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CNC programming experience, Mastercam proficiency, and solid knowledge of Fanuc controls, with strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency with Mastercam and controls such as Fanuc.
• Experience programming CNC lathes and mills.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with multiple CNC machines and tooling selections.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize CNC programs for lathes, mills, mill-turns, and VTLs.
• Develop machining strategies, tooling selections, and work holding solutions.
• Troubleshoot programming, tooling, threading, and dimensional issues on the shop floor.
• Create setup sheets, tooling documentation, and other programming documentation.
• Maintain programming standards and revision control.
• Work closely with machinists, Quality, Engineering, and Operations.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cycle and setup times while improving machining efficiency and quality.
• Support programming of complex threaded components and customer-specific connections.
