Job summary

OBE is seeking a CNC Programmer to enter custom patterns into CAD for production and interpret sketches for CNC operators. You will assist with scheduling and report to the Fabrication Supervisor in a dynamic production environment.

The role requires AutoCAD training (2005 or later) with 2–4 years of experience, the ability to read drawings, and strong math skills. We value self-motivation and a detail-oriented mindset to drive quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Auto-CAD Training Certificate with 2-4 years of work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and customer sketches.
• Ability to create and modify drawings in CAD/CAM software.
• Strong math and logical aptitude, especially fractions and decimals as units of measure.

Responsibilities

The CNC Programmer is focused on entering all custom patterns into the CAD system for production, interpreting and entering sketches to be produced, assisting with scheduling, and supporting team members and reports to the Fabrication Supervisor.

• Entering all custom patterns into the Computer Aided Design (CAD) System
• Interpret and enter sketches to be produced by our CNC Operators
• Operate Computer Aided Design (CAD) System

What We Are Looking For

• Auto-CAD (2005 or later) Training Certificate with 2-4 years of work experience
• Must possess the ability to read and interpret contract drawings and customer sketches as well as the ability to create and modify drawings in CAD/CAM software
• Must have high mathematic and logical aptitude, especially with fractions and decimals as a unit of measure (millimeters and inches)
• Must be highly detail oriented and can solve problems with minimal guidance
• Self-starter, motivated with ability to complete projects on time
