Job summary

Old-Castle-Building-Envelop in Newark, CA, seeks a CNC Programmer to enter all custom patterns into the CAD system for production and interpret sketches for CNC operators. This role is a vital member of the Production Administration Department, with opportunities to grow with an industry leader.

Qualifications

• Must have AutoCAD training certificate and 2–4 years of work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and customer sketches.
• Proficient with fractions and decimals for millimeter and inch measurements.
• Detail-oriented, self-driven, and able to complete projects on time.

Responsibilities

The CNC Programmer is focused on entering all custom patterns into the CAD system for production, interpreting and entering sketches to be produced, assisting with scheduling, and supporting team members and reports to the Fabrication Supervisor.

Job responsibilities include:

• Entering all custom patterns into the Computer Aided Design (CAD) System
• Interpret and enter sketches to be produced by our CNC Operators
• Operate Computer Aided Design (CAD) System

What We Are Looking For

• Auto-CAD (2005 or later) Training Certificate with 2-4 years of work experience
• Must possess the ability to read and interpret contract drawings and customer sketches as well as the ability to create and modify drawings in CAD/CAM software
• Must have high mathematic and logical aptitude, especially with fractions and decimals as a unit of measure (millimeters and inches)
• Must be highly detail oriented and can solve problems with minimal guidance
• Self-starter, motivated with ability to complete projects on time
