Job summary

Old-Castle-Building-Envelop (OBE) in Terrell, TX is seeking a Machine Operator 2 - Nights to calibrate machinery for metal fabrication, ensure quality, and report to the Production Supervisor.

As a vital member of the Fabrication Department, you will perform aluminum fabrication, set up equipment, read drawings and labels, weigh and pack materials, inspect for defects, and follow shop floor procedures; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely.

Qualifications

• Experience using power tools and reading a tape measure (to 1/32”).
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and perform basic math (fractions/decimals).
• Experience operating or willingness to learn equipment such as pallet jacks (manual/motorized) and cranes (preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle small and large components safely.
• Strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while communicating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform general aluminum fabrication, assembly, and packaging using hand and power tools.
• Set up and operate equipment to drill, cut, and prepare aluminum components per work orders and schedules.
• Measure, weigh, label, and pack materials according to shipping requirements, ensuring proper protection and accuracy.
• Inspect products for quality defects and ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
• Read and interpret drawings, labels, and work instructions; complete basic documentation using shop floor systems or RF equipment.
