Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Southern Pines, NC is seeking a CNC Programmer to develop, document, and optimize machining processes for multi-axis mills and lathes. You will design tooling, fixtures, and gauging, run PPAP/First Article, and support shop floor when debugging programs, while ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires 5+ years CAD/CAM/CNC experience and a strong understanding of GD&T, with a focus on continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of CNC programming experience.
• 5+ years of CAD/CAM software experience (GibbsCAM, Mastercam, AutoCAD, and similar).

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to understand requirements, tolerances, and material considerations to develop machining strategies.
• Design tooling, fixturing, and gauging using CAD/CAM software to meet part specs.
• Execute PPAP/First Article processes to ensure parts meet drawing and quality requirements.
• Create CNC programs and JIS for multiaxis mills and lathes.
• Develop and evaluate part processes to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead and support continuous improvement projects focused on waste reduction and process optimization.
