Job summary

Myers Controlled Power, based in Canton, Ohio, is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our team. You will develop and optimize programs for multi-axis and horizontal machines supporting sheet metal fabrication, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and production performance.

The role requires 2–5 years of CNC programming experience, proficiency with CAD and AP100US, and the ability to read blueprints and nest parts.

Qualifications

2–5 years of CNC programming experience (sheet metal preferred).
Proficiency with CAD and AP100US.
Experience with nesting parts and reading blueprints.
Strong math and measurement skills (fractions/decimals).
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or certification preferred.
Office-based within a manufacturing facility
Regular interaction with shop floor operations

Responsibilities

Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis and horizontal machines
Utilize drawings and CAD models to develop accurate and efficient programs
Determine machining sequences and select appropriate tooling
Run simulations and test programs to ensure quality and performance
Maintain program documentation, including set-up sheets and tool lists
Analyze work orders and perform necessary calculations for programming
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to finalize programs
Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machining issues
Monitor program performance to ensure compliance with drawings, safety, and quality standards
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce cycle time
