Job summary

Dover Precision Components is seeking an onsite CNC Programmer in Antigo, Wisconsin. The candidate will analyze drawings, write and verify CNC programs, and optimize tool paths for lathes, mills, and multi‑axis machines.

A technical certificate is preferred, with substantial manufacturing experience required. Responsibilities include improving setup times, updating routings, and ensuring programs comply with blueprints and specifications.

Qualifications

• Certification from accredited technical school preferred.
• 2–4 years’ experience operating a CNC mill or lathe.
• Minimum of 6 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to program Lathe, Mill and Multi-Axis machines.
• Proficient in Fanuc/Okuma/Mazak controls and G‑Code programming.
• Experience with CAD/CAM programs (FeatureCAM) and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes drawings and design data to determine cutting parameters.
• Writes CNC programs using CAD/CAM and verifies with software.
• Updates routings to maximize machine tool utilization.
• Creates standard work documents for tooling and programs.
• Monitors programs to ensure blueprints are followed safely.
• Works to improve setup times and tooling to boost productivity.
