Job summary

Merritt Precision is seeking a CNC Programmer/Mill Operator-Engineer to develop tool paths and master plugs using Siemens NX, while safely operating large CNC machines. You will create and adjust programs, inspect parts for accuracy, and manage the workflow to maximize machine efficiency.

The ideal candidate has strong CAD/CAM knowledge, reads technical documents well, and can work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Technical controls background or related technical field.
• Understanding of CAD/CAM fundamentals.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents.
• Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative with high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all workers by complying with OSHA and safety procedures.
• Use Siemens NX to develop cutting strategies and toolpaths for machining plugs and masters.
• Design support structures for plugs and masters.
• Operate large form factor Fanuc CNC machines.
• Make manual program adjustments as necessary.
• Supervise the machine to ensure toolpath validity.
• Inspect all parts to ensure accuracy with the design model.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Understand the priority schedule and allocate machine time accordingly.
