Job summary

Aerotech is seeking a CNC Programming Machinist to join its precision motion and automation team in the Pittsburgh area. You will program, set up, and operate Mazak CNC machines in a high-precision shop, producing parts with tight tolerances and using advanced gauging and CMM tools.

The role requires experience with Mazatrol programming, blueprint reading, and accurate measurement. Night and day shifts with overtime are common in this field, and the company offers extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate in Machine Shop Technology or related training / experience.
• Knowledge of speeds and feeds for machining metals.
• Able to work in Metric and English units.
• Lifts up to 25 pounds and stands for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Program, set-up, and operate Mazak CNC machines in a precision shop.
• Produce newly designed parts with proper workholding and process decisions.
• Inspect parts with tight tolerances using precision measurement tools.
• Program and edit Mazatrol programs; set speeds, feeds, and depths of cut.
• Operate pallet changers, robot arms, and automated load/unload equipment when needed.
