CNC Programming Machinist - Up to a $3,000 Sign-On Bonus!
We are seeking an experienced CNC programming machinist capable of programming, setting up, and operating Mazak CNC machines in a precision machine shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate Mazak CNC machines.
- Produce newly designed parts, including workholding selection, part process decisions, programming from scratch or modifying similar programs, detailed first part inspection, and process write-ups.
- Inspect parts with tight dimensional and form tolerance using bore gauges, gauge blocks, granite surface plates, digital and dial indicators, CMMs, and other precision measurement tools.
- Operate pallet changers, robot arms, bar feeders, and other automated load/unload equipment for medium or large batches.
- Select, align, and secure workholding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and accessories for small batch production.
- Retrieve and edit Mazatrol CNC programs or calculate and set controls such as speed, feed, and depth of cut for new programs.
- Work steady shifts only (night or daylight, with shift differential). Night shift candidates must be able to train on daylight shift for several weeks.
- Participate in voluntary overtime as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- One-year certificate from college, technical school, or apprenticeship program in Machine Shop technology; OR three or more years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CNC programming experience.
- Knowledge of speeds and feeds for machining all types of metals.
- Knowledge of metric conversion; able to work in metric and English units.
- Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Experience With
- Programming Mazak CNC machines in Mazatrol.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T experience.
- Precision part measurement and inspection tools (micrometers, electronic gauges, calipers, and similar equipment).
- Effective electronic communication and general software experience.
