Job summary

Actalent is seeking a CNC Programmer in Auburn, WA to develop and optimize Mastercam programs for 3-axis milling, with potential growth into 4- and 5-axis capabilities. You will collaborate with machinists and engineers to improve throughput, quality, and efficiency on the shop floor, while ensuring programs meet GD&T and drawing requirements.

Qualifications

3+ years of CNC programming in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on Mastercam programming experience for 3-axis mills.
Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T accurately.
Experience with tooling, feeds, speeds, and milling strategies.
Demonstrated shop-floor support and collaboration with machinists.

Responsibilities

Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for precision-machined components using Mastercam.
Support production machining on 3-axis milling platforms and troubleshoot issues.
Improve cycle times, tool paths, and setups through programming refinements.
Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure accurate programs.
Verify programs prior to release and provide floor support during machining.
Assist with tooling/fixturing selection and fixture design to improve repeatability.
