Job summary

Synerfac Technical Staffing is partnering with a client in Indiana to recruit a CNC Machinist/Programmer. The role entails programming mills and lathes, setting up tooling, and verifying part accuracy against plans and GD&T specifications.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in 3-axis CNC machining and programming, proficiency with CAD/CAM tools (MasterCAM), strong math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This on-site position emphasizes safety, documentation, and quality adherence.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational training, apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Must be a US Person according to ITAR guidelines.
• 5 years in 3 axis CNC machining.
• 5 years CNC programming.
• Experience with precision measurement tools.
• Ability to program and operate mills and lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and documents.
• Experience with CAD/CAM, Inventory or MasterCAM.
• Must have good math skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Program mills and lathes including zero and reference points, tool registers, offsets, compensation etc.
• Set up, install and adjust chucks, tools, attachments, bushings, cams, gears, stops, etc.
• Interpret GD&T and evaluate work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials and specs.
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first run part and sample pieces.
• Maintain specifications by observing processes, taking measurements, troubleshooting and reprogramming controls.
• Follow all safety and quality guidelines.
• Keep proper documentation.
• Wear proper PPE.

• Evaluate work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specs, drawings, reference planes, and interpret GD&T
• Program mills and lathes including zero and reference points, tool registers, offsets, compensation etc
• Set up, install and adjust chucks, tools, attachments, bushings, cams, gears, stops, etc
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first run part and sample pieces
• Maintain specifications by observing the processes, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls and sharpening tools
• Follow all safety and quality guidelines
• Keep proper documentation
• Wear proper PPE
