Job summary

Lancesoft in the United States seeks an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, develop G-code/M-code programs, and set up multi-station CNC mills and lathes to produce high-tolerance parts.

Collaborating with quality teams, you'll optimize cutting tools, feeds, and speeds, inspect first-piece and in-process parts, and maintain a clean, safe shop floor.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in CNC programming and setup in a precision machining environment.
• Proficiency in G-code/M-code programming and CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or SolidWorks).
• Strong hands-on experience with multi-axis CNC milling machines and lathes.
• Proficient in reading engineering blueprints and applying GD&T standards.
• Meticulous attention to detail with experience performing self-inspections using precision measuring tools.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Vocational certification or Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• CNC Programming: Develop, optimize, and edit G-code and CAD/CAM programs (Mastercam or equivalent) for multi-axis CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers.
• Machine Setup & Operation: Set up tooling, fixtures, work offsets, and parameters for prototype development and production runs.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Process Optimization: Select optimal cutting tools, feeds, and speeds to maximize productivity while preserving tool life and part quality.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect first-piece and in-process parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMM) to uphold our low-rejection standards.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventive maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot programming or mechanical issues on the shop floor.
• Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace adhering to shop safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
