Job summary

Eaton’s IS VEH VGGP division seeks a CNC Programmer/Machinist - Milling for our Marshall, MI facility. This is a full-time, on-site role with core hours 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.

You will program and machine complex parts, support engineering with prints, and collaborate on multi-machine setups to meet quality standards. A minimum of 3 years CNC machining and GD&T interpretation is required; CAD/CAM experience (Powermill/CREO) and Heidenhain controls are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum three (3) years experience in CNC machining.
• Minimum 3 years GD&T interpretation.
• No immigration sponsorship; relocation not offered; within 50 miles of Marshall, MI preferred.
• Associates degree preferred; CAD/CAM experience with Powermill/CREO advantageous.

Eaton’s IS VEH VGGP division is currently seeking a CNC Programmer/Machinist - Milling. This is a full time, on-site position based at our Marshall, MI facility.

Core Hours: 8AM-4:00PM

The expected annual salary range for this role is $69000 - $101000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

What you’ll do:

• Complete programming and machining of various products and test fixtures
• Support engineering with design feasibility reviews of product prints and fixtures
• Collaborate with team members on multi machine setups and operations.
• Using hand tools, inspection and layout equipment including Dial Indicators, Micrometers, and Optical Comparators
• Perform 5S and planned maintenance activities for the assigned work area and machine.
• Strict adherence to quality systems and EHS polices.

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma and/or GED from an accredited institution
• Minimum three (3) years experience in CNC machining.
• Minimum 3 experience with mechanical blueprints, models and GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) interpretation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Applied Science
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience with programming and setting up CNC machine centers.
• Experience with Heidenhain CNC controls
• Prior experience working in an automotive setting
• Previous experience with CAD/CAM software, specifically Autodesk/Powermill.
• Knowledge and experience with valvetrain and drivetrain components.
• Experience with basic design/3D modeling, CREO. Ability to design machining fixtures required for machining tasks.
