Job summary

A leading staffing firm is seeking a CNC experimental machinist for their facility in Redondo Beach, California. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of CNC programming and machining experience, strong knowledge of Mastercam, and the ability to operate Haas CNC machines. Candidates must be able to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. This position offers a contract for 12 months with a pay rate of $35-$38 per hour without benefits.

Overview

Duration: 12 Months Contract (Possibility of extension)

Payrate: $35-$38 per hour on w2 basis without any benefits/holidays/vacations

Work Schedule: 9*80A

Shift Time: (05:00 AM to 02:42 PM Mon-Thu) and (05:00 AM to 01:42PM on applicable Friday)

Description:

Looking for a CNC experimental machinist for their Redondo Beach Facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate 3 and 5 axis milling machines. Writing machine programs using MASTERCAM. Conventional machining skill. Ability to read engineering drawings and follow process and specifications. Strong communication skills.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and minimum 5 years of CNC programming/machining experience.
• Must have strong knowledge of Mastercam to program 3 and 5-axis parts.
• Prior Experience operating Haas CNC machines.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and meet the approval process for individual SAR program access.
• Must be willing to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10 or more years of related CNC machining experience.
• Experience with Mazak CNC machines.
• Ability to operate EDM and Plunge/Sinker machines.
• Current Secret security clearance and ability to meet the approval process for individual SAR program access.
