Qualifications

• Ability to read measuring devices such as tape, caliper and micrometer.
• Work independently or with minimal supervision.
• Study blueprints and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Calculate and set controls to produce quality parts efficiently.
• Verify conformance of finished parts with measuring tools.
• Perform basic arithmetic across units of measure.
• Handle standardized situations with few variables.

Responsibilities

• Machine components to the defined dimensions and tolerances.
• Determine sequence of operations and set up requirements.
• Select fixtures, tooling, accessories, and materials.
• Write programs for standard and special run parts.
• Ensure parts meet specifications and maintain quality.
• Use schedules, prints, and technical standards properly.
• Perform equipment housekeeping and maintenance.
• Handle additional tasks within the work area as needed.
