Job summary

Jobtailor in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to assist in setting up and maintaining fabrication lines for aluminum products and assemblies. You will program CNC machines and liaise with operators to ensure smooth production.

Responsibilities include analyzing production schedules, estimating worker-hours, managing tooling and spare parts inventories, and producing turned and machined parts to customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Must understand and deliver basic commands in English.
• Good machining skills required.
• Good inspection skills required.
• Excellent math skills required.
• Minimum two years’ experience in CNC machining.
• Close tolerance expertise (.002) required.
• Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, vises and work-holding devices.
• Knowledge of cutting tools including end mills, drills, taps and reamers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and maintaining manufacturing lines for fabricated aluminum products and assemblies at the Fabrication Center.
• Program CNC machines and liaison with CNC operators.
• Study production schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion.
• Store CNC-process tooling in good condition and maintain inventory.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts required for the CNC process.
• Produce turned and machined parts to customer specifications.
• Lay out and write programs for prototypes and samples for machining and turning centers with short response times.
• Set up all machines in the shop.
