Job summary

Gerhardt Gear Co. Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer for lathe and mill operations in a direct-hire role. The position focuses on producing CNC programs, machining strategies and setup instructions to machine parts at various production stages.

Development of fixtures and work-holding design along with required special tooling will be expected. Overtime available as needed. This 4-day, 40-hour weekly schedule runs Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, in a fast-paced job shop

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a job shop programming CNC lathes and mills.
• Proficient programming with FANUC and HAAS controls.
• High-precision tolerance work, +/- .0005" daily.
• Knowledge of lathes and mills and collaboration with setup personnel.
• English/Spanish bilingual a plus but not required.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Please include CAD/CAM software experience in resume.

Gerhardt Gear Co. Inc. is a manufacturing company specializing in high precision gear components for the Aerospace, Defense and Energy industries.

Position

Available Position: CNC Programmer Lathe and Mills. This is a direct hire position with no employment agency involvement. Candidate will be tasked with producing CNC programs, machining strategies and set-up work instructions to machine parts at different stages of production. Development of fixtures and work-holding design along with required special tooling as needed. Full-time position, 4-day, 40 hrs. weekly scheduled 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. Mon. - Thu. Overtime will be available as required.

Position Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a JOB SHOP environment Programming CNC Lathes and Mills.
• Proficient programming skills with FANUC and HAAS controls.
• Must be able to excel in a fast-paced job shop environment producing a very high-quality level of parts with tolerances of +/-.0005" daily.
• General knowledge of Lathes and Mills is a requirement in working together with the Set-up personnel while troubleshooting new programs and cutting strategies when necessary.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus but not necessary.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be eligible to legally work in the United States of America.
