Job summary

Petersen in Farr West, UT is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to create NC programs for 3, 4 and multi-axis machines, design tooling, and develop toolpaths for NC operations. You will verify programs with Vericut and manage multiple complex projects in a shop environment.

Strong CAD/CAM experience and a manufacturing mindset are essential; occasional travel and on-site work are expected as part of our engineering team.

Qualifications

Experience in CAD/CAM design programming is required.
Degree in Engineering Technologies or CAD/CAM related studies with 5 years direct relevant work experience.
Strong manufacturing background is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Generate NC programs for 3 axis vertical mills, 4 axis horizontal and multi-axis mill/turn machines.
Generate NC programs for lathes, from 2 axis to multi-axis and multi-task machines.
Manage multiple projects to meet schedule requirements.
Develop tooling and manufacturing concepts with cost/benefit analysis.
Provide technical expertise in engineering, manufacturing and resource planning.
