Job summary

Actalent in Rogers, MN, is seeking an Engineering Technician/Programmer to program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision medical components.

You will develop CNC programs with Mastercam, optimize tooling and fixtures, and collaborate with engineers to improve manufacturability while maintaining strict quality. This is an on-site, permanent role with potential overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proficient in CNC programming for mills and lathes.
• Experience with Mastercam in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of G-code and machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes.
• Develop CNC programs using Mastercam.
• Determine speeds and feeds for plastics, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize part designs for manufacturability.
• Design and build fixtures and jigs for machining and inspection.
• Set up machines for operators and provide technical support.
• Perform routine maintenance on shop equipment.
• Inspect and verify quality of parts.
• Conduct first article inspections on new setups.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
• Communicate with machinists, engineers, and management.
• Cross-train machinists and operators.
