Job summary

Tom Trese is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a precision-focused manufacturing team in Iowa. You will collaborate with engineers, optimize machining processes, and support tooling production from concept through completion.

You will use Mastercam to generate G-code, design fixtures, maintain the tool library, and mentor machinists. A strong CAM background and multi-axis experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of advanced manufacturing experience required.
• 3 years of verifiable CAM programming experience required.
• Associate’s degree or certification in CNC machining, precision machining, or manufacturing technology preferred.
• 5+ years of advanced manufacturing experience with 3+ years CAM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to improve tooling designs and processes.
• Use Mastercam to generate G-code for CNC operations.
• Design work-holding fixtures or select appropriate fixtures.
• Build and maintain a departmental tool library database.
• Set up and calibrate CNC machines for production runs.
• Operate CNC machining equipment to produce precision components.
• Monitor machining processes for specifications and quality.
• Perform in-process inspections with calipers and micrometers.
• Mentor Tooling Center machinists and share knowledge.
