A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking a CNC Lathe/Milling Operator to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Milling and Turning centers, ensuring products are manufactured to specifications while maintaining high quality standards. The ideal candidate should possess at least 2 years of CNC operator experience and be skilled in reading blueprints and utilizing various measuring instruments. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Setup and operate CNC Milling and Turning centers. Manufacture items to close tolerances using blueprint drawings, digital instructions or procedures, verbal communications, and processing of non-conforming product through the Material Review Board process.
Verify dimensions of machined components using appropriate and applicable measurement gages, tools, techniques, and methods.
Read and follow Department Operating Instructions, instructions contained within programs, and adhere to all applicable quality manuals, procedures, and policies.
Access electronic information online and in network files using applicable computer software and edge applications like Oasis, eDocs, PSN, and others as needed.
Apply G and M code programming knowledge to identify programming issues and improvements, offset adjustments, and other related activities.
Understand Macro programs and work directly with Manufacturing Engineering on required edits to programs or Process.
When applicable, assist Manufacturing Engineering on fixture and tooling design and as stated above, process/programming improvements.
Complete move transactions and sign off on routings and component route sheets to document completion of a task in Oracle and required paperwork.
Material configuration and composition of items as follows though not limited to are:
Castings, Forgings, Bar Stock and Weldments
Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Stellite, Hastelloy, Inconel
