Job summary

Kaman Composites, Vermont, Inc is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to develop and optimize programs for 3- and 5-axis machining centers, train operators, and support fixture/tool design in a manufacturing environment.

You will read complex blueprints, select tooling, calculate speeds and feeds, perform preventive maintenance, and drive continuous improvement in setup times and process reliability.

Qualifications

• Read complex blueprints and technical drawings to determine manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust CNC programs for 3- and 5-axis centers and routers using CAM software.
• Design or modify tooling and processes to support composite part manufacture.
• Provide well-documented instructions and operator support for new work.
• Analyze drawings for efficient manufacturing methods and quality control.
• Maintain and repair CNC machinery and perform preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize setups and fixtures.
