Program, edit, and optimize CNC milling and turning operations using Mastercam
Develop efficient toolpaths for complex precision-machined components, including 5-axis machining
Select tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies to maximize productivity and quality
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements
Design and improve fixtures and workholding solutions
Support machine setups, prove-outs, and first-piece inspections
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues on the shop floor
Reduce cycle times, improve efficiencies, and minimize scrap
Provide leadership and technical guidance to 2nd shift CNC operators
Assist with program adjustments and continuous process improvement initiatives
Maintain program documentation, revisions, and manufacturing records
Partner with engineering and production teams to ensure consistent manufacturing processes
Extensive CNC programming experience using Mastercam
Strong milling and turning programming
Experience programming and optimizing 5-axis machining operations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
Proven experience with toolpath development and process optimization
Strong troubleshooting skills in CNC production environments
Experience supporting, mentoring, or leading CNC operators
Knowledge of fixture design and workholding methods
Mastercam Certification or equivalent hands-on expertise
Experience in high-precision machining environments
Working in continuous improvement and manufacturing process development
Multi-axis mill and lathe programming experience
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Experience in job shop or family-owned manufacturing environments

5 x 10-hour shifts
Overtime available based on production demands
You’ll work in a precision machining facility featuring advanced CNC mills, lathes, and multi‑axis machining centers. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll spend time both programming and supporting production on the shop floor. This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, FL.
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
