Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities include:

  • Translating drawings and electronic data into CNC part programs such that geometry and labor standards are met.
  • Supporting machine prove-out activities and coordinating machine/process sequences with the Team.
  • Tool/Fixture design and concepts, developing time/cost estimates on new parts to Estimating.
  • Supporting the development of the most efficient manufacturing processes to effectively fabricate production parts.
  • Developing and supporting those processes to the extent they produce parts that meet or beat the originally established quality and cost estimates before being utilized by production.
  • Optimizing existing production parts and the production strategies surrounding our company’s lean initiatives.
  • Researching and incorporating, where viable, the latest technological advances in all facets of machining, finishing and assembly technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using manufacturing techniques in accordance with customer’s specifications, develop 3, 4 and 5 axis NC programs using Siemens NX.
  • Developing NC part programs which direct the most efficient, cost effective and highest quality process.
  • Creating setup and supporting documentation to adequately instruct machine operators on the loading and execution of NC programs.
  • Supporting AS9100 Audits and ensuring compliance to established standards.
  • Translating drawings and electronic data into part programs such that geometry and labor standards are met.
  • Ensuring that part numbers you program are completed such that established schedules are met, and programming and prove-out hours meet estimated budgets.
  • Assisting the engineering department develop part estimates for accurate and timely bidding packages for customer RFQ's.
  • Knowing and understanding the State-of-Technology in metal machining and Information Technologies.
  • Ensuring that specified fields have been properly filled in for data integrity.
  • Understanding the requirements/procedures as defined in the Programming CAD/CAM manual and the Engineering Procedures manual.
  • New and existing part development will occur per established schedules and budgets.
  • Production will have the methods to consistently manufacture parts to established labor and quality standards.
  • Our lean enterprises will have manufacturing methods that meet key lean principles.
  • External Customers will perceive PMW as a technologically competent supplier.
  • New technology advances will be integrated when appropriate.
  • The cost of producing existing production parts will continually be reduced.
  • The overall ‘Span time’ of existing production parts will be reduced.
  • Assuming additional responsibilities as requested.
  • Reporting to work on time, following instructions from supervisor or management, interacting well with co-workers, understanding and following work rules and procedures.
  • Performing other various duties as needed or as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • 7-10 years CNC Programming and Tool Design Experience of 3, 4 and 5 Axis Machining centers.
  • Previous machining experience with hard metals on 3, 4 and 5 axis machines preferred.
  • Working knowledge of metal removal cutting technology required.
  • Experience with Siemens NX Version, Ver 7.5 and Newer.
  • Experience with Vericut.
  • Modeling/Tool Design and drafting capabilities a plus.

The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity. Employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, short & long term disability, FSA/HSA, hospital indemnity, critical illness, and accident plans. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401K plan. Employees will also receive 9 paid holidays and 15 days (120hrs) of paid time off per calendar year.

Pay Range: $55 - $60 USD
