Job summary

Pathway Group, a boutique staffing firm, is seeking a CNC Programmer for an aerospace manufacturing partner in California. The candidate will program 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines using CATIA, interpret complex drawings, and collaborate with engineers for efficient production.

5-axis experience and CATIA proficiency are required; HAAS experience is a plus. Temp-to-hire with daytime hours and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a CNC Programmer.
• Proficiency in CATIA (required).
• Strong knowledge of 5-axis machining and multi-axis toolpath strategies.
• Familiarity with HAAS machines (preferred).
• Solid understanding of G-code, machining parameters, and cutting tool selection.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimize CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines using CATIA.
• Interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications to develop accurate toolpaths.
• Collaborate with engineers and machinists to ensure efficient setups and processes.
• Design and modify fixtures as needed to support manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make program adjustments as necessary.

Pathway Group is a boutique staffing firm who has partnered with a privately held Aerospace Manufacturing company. Specializing in sheet metal fabrication and assemblies. This client supplies tens of thousands of aerospace components for commercial jetliners, defense, space and security systems.

We are looking for a highly capable CNC Programmer with experience in CATIA and programming for 5-axis CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of advanced machining processes and a keen eye for detail. Experience with HAAS machines is a plus.

Temp-to-hire

Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm

Pay Range – $29-$38/hr.

Key Responsibilities:
