Job summary

Responsibilities

• Create, review, modify, and optimize CNC programs for milling operations.
• Program and set up Haas CNC machines for production.
• Read technical drawings and blueprints to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Select tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials for each job.
• Test, troubleshoot, and adjust CNC programs on the shop floor.
• Inspect finished components and ensure quality.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production teams to improve efficiency.
• Adhere to safety and production procedures.

About the Role

CNC Programmer & Machinist – Haas Machines

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Industry: Manufacturing / Precision Machining

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer & Machinist with hands-on experience operating and programming Haas CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of CNC programming, machining, milling, tooling, and production processes.

This is a full-time, on-site position supporting precision machining operations and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, review, modify, and optimize CNC programs for machining and milling operations.
• Program and set up Haas CNC machines for production.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling, materials, feeds, and speeds.
• Set up, test, and troubleshoot CNC programs and machining processes.
• Inspect finished components to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues during production.
• Work closely with machinists, engineers, and production teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve machining efficiency, quality, and cycle times.
• Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in CNC Programming and Machining.
• Hands-on experience with CNC milling and production machining.
• Experience with Haas CNC machines strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
• Strong understanding of tooling, feeds & speeds, materials, and machine setup.
• Experience troubleshooting CNC programs and machining processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to work effectively with machinists, engineers, and production personnel.
• Manufacturing or precision metalworking experience preferred.
• Technical certification or Associate Degree in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is a plus.
  

Compensation

$70,000–$75,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
