Job summary

ClinLab Solutions Group is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist Programmer to develop, optimize, and edit CNC programs for milling and drilling operations, set up and operate Haas mills, and support quality and inspection processes.

You will train apprentices, troubleshoot machining issues, read blueprints with GD&T, and collaborate with team members to maintain a safe, efficient shop environment. Overtime may be required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2–5 years CNC machining and programming experience preferred.
• Experience with HAAS systems highly desirable.
• Knowledge of reading blueprints and GD&T.

Responsibilities

Seeking a skilled CNC Machinist Programmer to develop, optimize, and edit CNC programs, set up and operate milling machines, and support quality and inspection processes. This role involves troubleshooting, training, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for both 2D and 3D milling and drilling operations, ensuring best practices in tool selection and machining strategies.
• Edit and modify CNC programs to address dimensional deviations and maintain part quality as identified by inspection processes.
• Set up and operate milling machines, including performing tool setups, work offsets, and readiness checks for various equipment such as sonic welders and pad printers.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust parameters as needed, and collaborate with quality inspectors to resolve discrepancies.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, etc.) to verify part accuracy and support inspection activities.
• Train apprentices and junior machinists in machine operation and programming, and participate in cross-functional problem-solving and improvement initiatives.
• Operate additional shop equipment such as surface grinders and band saws, ensuring all workspaces are kept clean, safe, and organized.
• Communicate professionally with team members at all levels regarding quality or production concerns, and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of CNC machining and programming experience preferred.
• Experience with HAAS systems highly desirable.
• Knowledge of injection molding processes is a plus.
• Strong understanding of CNC programming (2D/3D) and ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and basic computer skills; experience with CAM software is beneficial.
• Mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritize tasks independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, professional demeanor, and openness to constructive feedback and technical challenges.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a machining environment with noise, lubricants, and metal chips.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet production demands.
