We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and optimizing CNC machines to produce precision parts and components in accordance with technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications. Using Fusion 360 with an understanding of Vertical Milling, 4th and 5th Axis and multi Axis Lathes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and write CNC programs for milling, turning, or multi-axis machines using CAM software Fusion 360
* Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, or multi-axis machines.
* Load raw materials and ensure proper alignment and tooling.
* Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings to create efficient machining strategies.
* Select appropriate tools, speeds, feeds, and fixtures for each job.
* Perform test runs and first article inspections to ensure accuracy and quality.
* Modify existing programs as necessary to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality.
* Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control to resolve issues and optimize workflows.
* Maintain proper documentation and records for programs, setups, and revisions.
* Ensure all safety and quality standards are strictly followed.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or CNC certification preferred.
* 3+ years of experience in CNC programming and machining.
* Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Fusion 360).
* Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC machine operation.
* Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
* Solid knowledge of materials (e.g., metals, plastics) and machining processes.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with multi-axis (3, 4, or 5-axis) machines.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and work in a manufacturing environment.
* Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required.
