Job summary

REXA, Inc. in Middleborough, MA, is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer for the 1st shift in a brand-new facility. You will program multi-axis CNC mills and lathes using Mastercam, reading 2D/3D CAD drawings from Solidworks, and creating clear instructions for machinists.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a CNC environment, strong blueprint interpretation, and solid Mastercam experience. This role requires accuracy, independence, and overtime availability in a modern manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED; Vocational School preferred.
• 3+ years’ CAM software experience; Mastercam highly preferred.
• Experience using Solidworks to import programs into Mastercam.
• 5+ years’ CNC environment experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Must have strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good time management and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Read and review technical drawings and import 2D/3D CAD drawings into Mastercam.
• Create programs in Mastercam from 2D/3D CAD drawings from Solidworks.
• Check finished programs by running simulations in Mastercam.
• Determine the correct sequence of operations for the machines.
• Consider tools required and coordinate with tool admin for in-house tooling.
• Create clear, detailed instructions in the programs for machinists.
• Adjust machine cutting paths to optimize production while ensuring quality.
• Collaborate with supervisor and machinist to resolve issues.
• May create 2D/3D models in Mastercam for fixturing.

1st Shift | $27–$41/hour depending on experience| Haas CNC Mills | Brand-New Facility

REXA is growing and looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join our 1st shift team in Middleborough, MA.

We recently moved into a brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and are looking for a skilled programmer who takes pride in precision work and can work independently.

The CNC Programmer is responsible for the programming of multi-axis CNC Milling and lathe equipment, including but not not limited to, Vertical & Horizontal Machining Centers utilizing Mastercam.

What You Will Do:

• Read and review technical drawings and import 2D and 3D CAD drawings into Mastercam.
• Create programs in Mastercam using 2D and 3D CAD drawings from Solidworks.
• Check completed programs by running simulations in Mastercam.
• Determine the correct sequence of operations that will be programmed for the machines.
• Consider tools required to cut particular materials; review with tool administrator any special tooling that will be needed to make sure tools needed are in-house.
• Create clear and detailed instructions in the programs for the machinists.
• Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
• Work closely with the supervisor and the machinist to optimize and work through issues that may arise.
• May need to create a 2D and 3D model within Mastercam to make fixturing for the machines.

What We Are Looking For:

• High school Diploma or GED; Vocational School preferred
• 3+ years’ experience in CAM software; Mastercam highly preferred
• Experience utilizing Solidworks to import programs into Mastercam
• 5+ years’ experience working in a CNC environment
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and closely follow directions
• Good time management skills, listening and verbal communication skills
• Available to work overtime
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Hourly range: $27.69 - 41.54 depending on experience
