Job summary

Plansee Group in Franklin, USA, develops complex components from molybdenum and tungsten; this role creates, modifies, and verifies CNC programs and 3D solid models for production. You will work on precision machining in a cross-functional manufacturing engineering team.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
  • Two-year degree or certification in manufacturing/machining technology preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience reading, writing or interpreting CNC programs.
  • Experience with Okuma format desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in precision manufacturing (milling, turning, drilling).
  • Basic CAD/CAM software knowledge required; Siemens NX preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create, modify and verify CNC machine programs for products to be manufactured.
  • Create, modify and verify 3D Solid Models for programming and inspection use.
  • Work in cross-functional teams in Manufacturing Engineering support.
  • Create, modify and verify technical drawings and documentation for processes, tooling and fixturing.
  • Ensure ISO compliance for all processes related to manufacture a product.
  • Interface with shop floor, sales and customers to determine product specs and reliability.

A two-year degree or certification in manufacturing/machining technology preferred.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in reading, writing or interpreting CNC programs. Experience with Okuma format desired.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing with a strong background in precision machining (milling, turning, drilling). Experience with high performance materials such as molybdenum or tungsten is a plus.Entry-level knowledge of CAD/CAM software is required. Experience with Siemens Nx preferred.Basic understanding of MRP functions in a manufacturing environment.
