Job summary

Plansee in Franklin, USA seeks a skilled CNC Machinist to create, modify, and verify CNC programs and 3D Solid Models for manufacturing and inspection. You will work with cross-functional teams in Manufacturing Engineering to drive quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include ensuring ISO compliance, communicating with shop floor and customers, and maintaining up-to-date documentation. Proficiency with Okuma, Siemens NX, and SAP is valued, with MS Office skills essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in reading, writing or interpreting CNC programs. Experience with Okuma format desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing with a strong background in precision machining (milling, turning, drilling).
  • Entry-level knowledge of CAD/CAM software is required. Experience with Siemens Nx preferred.
  • Basic understanding of MRP functions in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience using SAP desired.
  • Strong configuration management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.

  • Ensure ISO compliance for all processes related to manufacture a product.
  • Interface with shop floor, sales and customer to determine product specifications and maximize reliability and acceptance.
  • Follow the manufacturing process of new products to ensure they are on schedule and delivery dates are met.
  • Implement revision changes of a product and ensure that all necessary documentation and tools such as fixtures, CNC programs, drawings, etc. are updated.
  • Provide hands‑on production support at a moderate-skilled level related to manufacturing processes, machining best practices, setup and inspection techniques.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing with a strong background in precision machining (milling, turning, drilling). Experience with high performance materials such as molybdenum or tungsten is a plus.

The base compensation for this position is between $31-37/hr, commensurate with skill and experience level.
