Job Overview

The primary purpose of this job is to develop machine programs for Mills & Lathes with up to 5 axes. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including machinists/operators, manufacturing engineers, production supervisors, supply chain representatives, quality engineers/inspectors, and operations/program management. The goal is to support program schedules, mitigate manufacturing risks, and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop machining strategies based on design data to produce machined hardware.
• Create manufacturing plans for high-volume production.
• Design custom tools and fixtures as needed.
• Develop set-up sheets to align CNC programs with physical workpieces.
• Select and procure appropriate tooling based on material, geometry, features, tolerances, system rigidity, and equipment capability.
• Validate and release programs to the production team.
• Identify and own process improvement opportunities, such as reducing machining/setup time and improving part quality.
• Maintain configuration control of files and job records.
• Work safely within an industrial environment.

Qualifications
