Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of dedicated CNC programming experience targeting Horizontal Machine Tools.
• Advanced expertise in CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam and SolidWorks.
• Deep understanding of G-code and M-code; ability to edit programs at the machine control.
• Familiarity with major CNC controls such as Fanuc and Haas.
• Excellent interpretation of engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
• Proficient with precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges).

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs for Horizontal Machining Centers across 3–5 axes.
• Define sequences, select tools, calculate speeds/feeds, and design fixtures.
• Program tombstone and pallet setups to maximize HMC efficiency.
• Run G-code simulations to verify toolpaths and prevent collisions.
• Perform First-Article Inspections with operators to secure sign-off.
• Continuously improve legacy programs to reduce cycle times and scrap.

CNCProgrammer – Horizontal/Vertical Machining Centers (HMC/VMC)

We are seeking a highly skilled anddetail-oriented CNC Programmer specializing in Horizontal MachiningCenters (HMC) to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will beresponsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs that driveour multi-axis horizontal mills. You will work closely with machiningoperators, manufacturing engineers, and quality teams to ensure maximumefficiency, tool life, and part accuracy for complex, high-precisioncomponents.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Development: Write, edit, and optimize 3-axis, 4-axis, and multi-axis CNCprograms for Horizontal Machining Centers using Master Cam /SolidworksCAD/CAM software.
• Process Setup & Planning: Define operational sequences, select appropriatecutting tools, calculate optimal speeds and feeds, and designfixture/work-holding layouts.
• Tombstone & Pallet Optimization: Maximize HMC efficiency byprogramming multi-part setups on tombstones and managing pallet changerschedules.
• Simulation & Verification: Run thorough G-code simulations to verifytoolpaths, eliminate errors, and strictly prevent machine collisions.
• First-Article Inspection (FAI): Prove out new programs on the shop floor,collaborating with operators to troubleshoot the first run and securequality sign-off.
• Continuous Improvement: Review legacy programs to reduce cycle times, minimize scrap, andimplement advanced high-speed machining techniques.

RequiredQualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of dedicated CNC programming experiencespecifically targeting Horizontal Machine Tools.
• CAD/CAM Proficiency: Advanced expertise in industry-standard software such as Mastercam,Soildworks
• G-Code Mastery: Deep understanding of G-code and M-code language, with the abilityto edit programs manually at the machine control if necessary.
• Control Systems: Familiarity with major CNC controls, such as Fanuc and Haas
• Technical Blueprint Reading: Exceptional ability to interpret complexengineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)symbols, and technical data sheets.
• Precision Measurement: Proficient with precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers,height gauges) to verify part dimensions against CAD models.

PreferredQualifications

• Experience programming of pallet systems
• Experience machining a variety of materials, ranging from aluminum,Brass and other metals
• Associate degree or technical certification in CNC Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is a plus but not required
