Job summary

DRT Aerospace, LLC in Sidney, OH, seeks a hands-on CNC Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced aerospace environment. You will focus on safety, quality, and on-time delivery while developing team members and coordinating with multiple departments.

You will oversee production, coordinate with Operations, Planning, Quality, Engineering and Maintenance, and drive continuous improvement to optimize productivity and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining, tooling, setups, troubleshooting, and production processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturing drawings, work instructions, and production documentation.
• Experience with precision measurement tools and basic shop mathematics.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with manufacturing software systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Communicate work assignments, priorities, and shift expectations.
• Monitor performance and address issues impacting output.

Lead Aerospace Manufacturing Operations and Drive Results

DRT Aerospace is seeking a hands-on CNC Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations in our Sidney, Ohio facility. This role is ideal for an experienced machining professional, team lead, or production supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment and is passionate about safety, quality, on-time delivery, and employee development.

As a CNC Production Supervisor, you will oversee production employees, coordinate workflow, remove barriers to productivity, and ensure customer commitments are met. You will work closely with Operations, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

Production Leadership & Execution

• Lead daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Communicate work assignments, production priorities, and shift expectations.
• Monitor production performance throughout the shift and quickly address issues impacting output.
• Ensure resources, tooling, materials, and documentation are available to support uninterrupted production.
• Coordinate schedule changes and production priorities with Operations and Planning teams.
• Maintain accurate visual management boards and production tracking systems.
• Analyze downtime, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, scrap reduction, and process optimization.

Quality & Safety

• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, work instructions, routers, and engineering documentation.
• Contain and elevate non-conforming product issues as required.
• Verify accurate reporting of production, scrap, downtime, labor, and rework activities.
• Drive workplace organization, housekeeping, and Lean manufacturing best practices.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach, and develop production employees through training, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Support employee onboarding and cross-training initiatives.
• Maintain skills matrices and workforce development plans.
• Monitor attendance, staffing levels, and shift coverage requirements.
• Recognize strong performance and address performance concerns professionally and consistently.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of machining CNC machining, tooling, setups, troubleshooting, and production processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Team Lead, or Shift Supervisor.
• Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Visual Management, Continuous Improvement, 5 Why Analysis, and 8D Problem Solving methodologies.
• Experience with ERP and production tracking systems such as LN and Factory Track.
