Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years CNC lathe machining experience in a precision environment.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes independently.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and inspection techniques.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills for production reporting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes to manufacture precision aerospace components.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, process sheets, and work instructions.
• Select tooling, inserts, fixtures, and machining parameters.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Make offsets and program adjustments to maintain quality requirements.
• Machine components to close tolerances and customer specifications.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools for checks.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and support continuous improvement.

• Night Shift | Monday - Thursday | 4:00 PM – 4:30 AM

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes to manufacture precision aerospace components
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, process sheets, and work instructions
• Select tooling, inserts, fixtures, and machining parameters
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
• Make offsets and minor program adjustments to maintain quality requirements
• Machine components to close tolerances and customer specifications
• Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gages, indicators, and thread gages
• Troubleshoot machining issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Complete production, quality, and traceability documentation
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
• Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S activities

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of CNC lathe machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment
• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes independently
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Working knowledge of GD&T and inspection techniques
• Experience using precision measuring instruments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills for production reporting and documentation
• Manual lathe experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace, defense, medical, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
• Tight-tolerance machining
• Experience machining stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, Inconel, and other aerospace alloys

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequently lift and move materials up to 35 pounds
• Frequent use of hands for machine operation, inspections, and tooling changes
• Ability to work around machining equipment, cutting fluids, metal chips, and manufacturing noise while wearing required PPE
