Job summary

Wieland in Coldwater, Ohio is seeking a CNC Production Machinist to operate CNC lathes and mills, read blueprints, and set up tooling. Training is offered for qualified individuals and the role is fully on-site in Coldwater, OH.

Starting pay is $27.31 per hour with a Monday-Thursday 5:00 PM–3:00 AM schedule (training period 7:00 AM–5:00 PM). Pay is weekly, and the position supports a career in precision metal manufacturing within a global leader.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; technical certificate is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year CNC experience.
• Ability to work unsupervised and follow instructions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers, etc.) to produce parts according to blueprints and specifications.
• Set up machines by installing and aligning tools, fixtures, and materials.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and offsets to maintain part quality.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Verify dimensions and surface finishes meet print or process requirements.
• Record inspection data and report deviations or defects promptly.
• Follow and maintain quality control procedures.

Wieland is hiring a CNC Production Machinist. The CNC Production Machinist will be responsible for operating CNC lathes and mills, interpreting parts prints, using manual gauging, and meeting production rates and quality standards is helpful; however, training is provided for qualified individuals.

This role is located in Coldwater, Ohio and will be fully on-site.
