Job summary

Union Machine Company, Inc. in Groveland, MA is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations in a precision CNC environment.

You will drive workflow, schedules, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Customer Service to ensure on-time delivery and continuous improvement on the shop floor. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in manufacturing leadership, deep knowledge of CNC turning and milling, and a proven track

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Strong CNC turning, milling, setups, tooling knowledge.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning.
• Knowledge of AS9100 quality requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily shop floor operations across CNC turning, milling, grinding, and assembly.
• Manage production schedules, establish priorities, and ensure jobs progress through manufacturing efficiently.
• Lead and support machinists.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, equipment constraints, and scheduling conflicts.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Customer Service to meet delivery commitments.
• Monitor production performance, labor efficiency, machine utilization, and work-in-process.
• Drive accountability for production schedules, productivity, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce setup times, and increase throughput.
• Support workforce planning, cross-training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive manufacturing environment.
