Shape How Precision Parts Are MadeAt CCT Enterprises, your day begins on the shop floor and at the engineer’s desk—where ideas turn into reliable, repeatable CNC processes. As our CNC Process Development Engineer, you’ll take concepts from drawing review to stable production, programming CNC lathes, Swiss turning machines, and mills, and then refining every step for quality, speed, and cost.A Day in the RoleYou’ll start by reviewing customer prints, materials, and tolerances. From there, you’ll craft machining strategies, build tool lists, design workholding, and write CNC programs. You’ll move seamlessly to the machines—setting up, proving out code, and dialing in feeds, speeds, and toolpaths. Midday might bring a troubleshooting huddle with Production and Quality to resolve a dimensional challenge or tool-life concern. Later, you’ll finalize work instructions, train operators on a new setup, and collaborate with Sales on cycle-time estimates for a new quote. Throughout, you’ll look for opportunities to automate steps, leverage AI-assisted tools, and raise throughput without sacrificing precision. What You’ll OwnCreate, implement, and stabilize new CNC machining processes from concept through production launch.Program and set up CNC lathes, Swiss turning, and/or milling centers; select and optimize tooling and workholding.Troubleshoot existing jobs to identify root causes and correct quality or efficiency issues.Continuously improve processes for consistency, cycle time, tool life, and yield.Author clear work instructions and maintain process documentation.Coach operators and setup personnel on new and revised methods.Evaluate new part opportunities—manufacturability, processes, tooling, and cycle-time estimates—to support accurate quoting.Partner with Quality and Production to close issues and sustain capable, repeatable production.Spot and implement automation and other productivity enhancements.Who Thrives HereA hands-on problem solver who blends programming skill with machining savvy.Someone who takes initiative and owns projects end-to-end.A collaborative teammate who communicates well with machinists, Quality, Production, Sales, and leadership.A detail-focused engineer who follows systems and quality standards.Adaptable and comfortable in a growing, fast-changing manufacturing environment.Curious about new tech—automation, AI-assisted programming, and smarter tooling approaches.Your Background5+ years in CNC manufacturing.Strong experience in turning, Swiss machining, and/or milling.Hands-on CNC setup and programming required.Programming tools: Mastercam and/or ABILE preferred.CAD: 2D/3D experience; VISI and/or SolidWorks a plus.Deep understanding of machining processes, tooling, feeds/speeds, workholding, and process design.Knowledge of materials, manufacturing costs, and producing precision components efficiently.Familiarity with quality frameworks: APQP, PPAP, ISO, CAR, SPC.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Bonus: experience with automation or robotic manufacturing.Benefits & GrowthMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid time offEducation assistance / tuition reimbursementOn-the-job training and professional developmentBenefits begin after 60 days of employmentSchedule & LocationFull-Time – First ShiftOn-Site in Auburn, IndianaCompensationCompensation is based on experience, technical capabilities, and qualifications.Core ProficienciesCNC ProgrammingMastercamPrimary Tech You’ll UseMastercam
