Job summary

Valmont Industries in El Dorado, KS is seeking a CNC/Plasma Table Operator for the 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 2:30 am, Mon-Thu). You will program plasma drilling and cutting equipment, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet specifications. The role requires GMP-like attention to safety, quality, and productivity in a heavy manufacturing setting.

The starting wage is $26.32/hr with a $1.50 shift differential. Candidates must be able to operate cranes, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced shop

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a heavy manufacturing setting.
• Ability to calculate simple mathematics and interpret shop drawings.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to recognize and solve practical problems.
• Ability to work in a team environment with a diverse group of people.
• Ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions.
• Ability to meet production, safety, and quality standards in a high-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with most frequent lift up to 20 pounds.
• Wear required PPE and follow facility safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe and productive working environment.

Responsibilities

• Program the automatic operation of the plasma drill and/or table and verify dimensions from shop drawings.
• Observe operation and verify conformance of machined work to specifications and blueprint data.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
• Use overhead crane to load/unload machinery.
• Work in non-temperature controlled environments and outdoors with PPE.
• Other duties as required and/or assigned.
