Job summary

Greiner Industries is hiring CNC Machine Operators (Plasma/Laser) to run our plasma table and laser cutting systems in a fast-paced steel fabrication environment. Entry-level with machine operating experience and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply, with a $2,500 new hire bonus and a 2nd shift differential of 15%.

You will read blueprints, set up machines, monitor operations, verify parts, and document production details while keeping safety and quality a top priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or fabrication experience preferred.
• Experienced with cutting, grinding, and fabrication equipment.
• Able to mount, load, and safely handle large materials using cranes and other lifting equipment.
• Knowledge of crane rigging and experience working with large parts is a plus.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and product specifications.
• Strong math and measurement skills with attention to detail.
• Able to set equipment controls and monitor machines to ensure accurate cuts.
• Experienced in inspecting completed work and measuring dimensions to verify conformance to specifications.
• Able to identify equipment malfunctions and work with others to resolve production or equipment issues.
• Committed to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC plasma and laser cutting equipment to produce steel components.
• Set up and monitor machines according to job specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Verify material, dimensions, and finished parts for accuracy and quality.
• Perform routine machine adjustments and troubleshoot basic operating issues.
• Load and position materials safely using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
