Job summary

SAC Incorporated in Utah is seeking a CNC Plasma Operator to set up, program, and operate CNC plasma cutting equipment in a manufacturing environment. You will read blueprints, interpret nesting layouts, load materials, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

You will monitor machine performance, perform routine maintenance, and document production activities while collaborating with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience operating CNC plasma cutting equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measuring tools.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting machines to cut steel, stainless steel, and other materials.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, nesting layouts, and work orders.
  • Load raw materials onto cutting tables using overhead cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
  • Verify machine settings, cutting parameters, and material specifications before operation.
  • Monitor machine performance and adjust to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Inspect completed parts to ensure compliance with dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of CNC plasma equipment.
  • Remove slag, burrs, and scrap material as required.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Position Summary

The CNC Plasma Operatoris responsible forsetting up, programming, and operating CNC plasma cutting equipment to accurately cut metal materials according to engineering drawings, and production schedules. This position ensures quality standards,maintainsequipment, and supports a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must be able to wearthe requiredpersonal protective equipment (PPE).
Work Environment

Manufacturing and fabrication facility environment requiring adherence to all safety regulations and quality standards.Overtime and shift work may berequiredbased on production demands.
