Job summary

9Wood, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Tech – CNC Operator to join our production team on the shop floor.

You will operate CNC machinery, collect cycle times, and support ongoing process improvements to keep production moving smoothly. You will collaborate with manufacturing engineers, production staff, and project teams to resolve issues and implement practical solutions, using Lean methods and problem-solving on the spot.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-minded.
• Experience with CNC machines (Biesse RoverGo).
• Basic CAD experience (Inventor or AutoCAD) is helpful but not required.
• Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate Production CNC machines.
• Support continuous improvement activities using Toyota Kata methodology.
• Collect and document accurate cycle times, rates, and process data across all machinery and production areas.
• Work closely with shop floor operators and office teams to resolve problems and implement solutions.
• Support other engineering and manufacturing projects as needed.
