Job summary

Lever, Inc. in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an experienced Fabricator to lead the operation of our CNC press brakes and laser cutting equipment.

This role is central to our production process, responsible for creating high-precision sheet metal components used in our custom-built machinery. You will set up and operate CNC laser cutters and press brakes, read blueprints, inspect parts with precision tools, and maintain a safe, organized work area.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of hands-on CNC press brake and/or laser cutting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of bend allowances, bend deductions, and precision measuring tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for 10‑hour shifts, and perform repetitive tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutters and press brakes to cut and form steel, aluminum, and stainless sheet metal to exact specifications.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, fabrication drawings, and flat patterns to determine machine setup, bend sequences, and part requirements.
• Inspect parts throughout production using calipers, protractors, tape measures, and other precision tools to maintain tight tolerances.
• Safely load and unload heavy sheet metal, perform basic daily machine maintenance, and maintain a clean, safe work area.
