Job summary

VanZandt Controls and Eagle Automation seeks a CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team in Texas. You will operate CNC mills and lathes, load parts, inspect finished work, and assemble mechanical valves and actuators according to drawings and procedures.

You must read blueprints, maintain accurate production records, and work safely with hand and power tools in a fast-paced environment. This role offers training and opportunities for growth within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, assembly, or machine shop experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and lathes following work instructions and production schedules.
• Load and unload parts while monitoring machine operation.
• Deburr, clean, and prepare machined parts for assembly.
• Assemble mechanical valves, actuators, and related components according to assembly drawings and procedures.
• Install hardware, seals, bearings, bushings, fasteners, and other mechanical components.
• Use hand tools such as wrenches, ratchets, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, and pneumatic tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Verify assembled products meet company quality standards before shipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions.

Position

We are looking to fill a CNC Operator position to join our manufacturing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, assembling mechanical components, operating CNC equipment, and contributing to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Duties

• Operate CNC mills and lathes following work instructions and production schedules.
• Load and unload parts while monitoring machine operation.
• Deburr, clean, and prepare machined parts for assembly.
• Assemble mechanical valves, actuators, and related components according to assembly drawings and procedures.
• Install hardware, seals, bearings, bushings, fasteners, and other mechanical components.

• Count, organize, and maintain inventory of parts and hardware.
• Pull parts and kits for production orders.
• Report inventory shortages and assist with cycle counts.
• Maintain accurate production and inventory records.
• Package finished products for shipment.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Assist other departments as production demands require.

Related Experience

• Manufacturing, assembly, or machine shop experience preferred.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read tape measures and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and blueprints.
• Strong organizational and inventory skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNC machine operating experience.
• Mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience (preferred but not required).
• Experience working with inventory systems or warehouse operations.

Hours

M-F 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (may be subject to change according to the needs of the business)
