Job summary

The Dixon Group in Winchester, VA is hiring a CNC Operator to learn and operate CNC lathes, producing precise metal components. The role includes set-up, inspection, and maintaining quality while following safety procedures. Training is provided and opportunities to perform light additional tasks exist to broaden skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CNC operator or a strong mechanical aptitude with a desire to learn.
• Familiarity with G-code programming or blueprints is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with Mazak and Fanuc controls preferred.
• Skilled or willing to learn the use of precision measuring tools.
• Strong reading, math, and data entry abilities.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and operate CNC machines (Fanuc and Mazak controls a plus).
• Identify and resolve machining or program issues.
• Perform inspections to ensure components meet drawing and quality specifications.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Complete basic daily maintenance on machines.
• Rotate between assignments as needed to support production.
• Collaborate with team members and participate in ongoing training.
