Position Summary

The CNC Operator A operates assigned CNC milling machines to produce parts that meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing. This includes conducting basic machine changeovers, accurately completing quality control documentation and inspection sheets. The individual works with other machine operators and management to ensure good manufacturing practices, inspection techniques, SOPs, and safety regulations are followed daily.

Essential Functions
  • Measures, inspects, loads/unloads parts from assigned machines
  • Implements dimensional adjustments (offsets) as needed
  • Breaks down and stores tooling specific to the job
  • Makes minor program edits for part size
  • Conducts basic machine changeovers
  • Completes all quality control documentation and inspection sheets accurately
  • Inspects products according to instructions such as part drawings, traveler, work instructions, and process specifications
  • Follows good manufacturing practices, inspection techniques, SOPs, and safety regulations daily
  • Adheres to the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all policies
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations through training and ongoing knowledge
  • Represents the company professionally and upholds high standards of ethical conduct in all interactions

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to perform visual inspection with a microscope on small parts; attention to detail
  • Intermediate math skills in geometric and trigonometric formulas are a plus
  • Self-starter, well-organized, able to multi-task, and work independently
  • Team player, open to new ideas, self-motivated, eager to increase knowledge and value
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Physical Demands
  • Sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Lifting up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
