Job summary

Wagstaff, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join the manufacturing team in Hebron, Kentucky. You will set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other production equipment to manufacture precision parts that meet quality and tolerance specifications.

The ideal candidate has machining experience, can read drawings, perform machine setup and basic CNC offset adjustments, and use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy. Flexibility for overtime and cross-training is essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years CNC machining experience.
  • Accredited machining certificate.
  • Experience setting up and operating mills, lathes, and machine shop equipment.
  • Ability to read drawings/blueprints and interpret specs.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce parts to spec.
  • Interpret drawings and maintain tight tolerances.
  • Perform simple CNC offsets and edits as needed.
  • Maintain documentation and clean, organized workstation.
  • Collaborate with team to implement improvements.

Salary Range: $23.40 - $31.66 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other production equipment to manufacture precision parts that meet quality and tolerance specifications. The ideal candidate has machining experience, can interpret mechanical drawings, perform machine setup and basic CNC offset adjustments, and use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, continuous improvement, and following established manufacturing processes while maintaining accurate documentation and a clean, organized work area. Flexibility to cross-train on additional equipment and work overtime as needed is essential.

Requirements
  • Setup and operate CNC machines - mills and lathes
  • Utilize required fixtures, cutting tools and work instructions to machine parts to specification
  • Perform simple editing offsets (CNC only)
  • Identify product/process improvements and participate with co-workers to implement these improvements
  • Operate machines using best and safe practices
  • Must produce parts within required tolerances
  • Function as a team member and support other teams
  • Willingness to cross train on other machines as required
  • Follow documented processes

Required Skills
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two (2) years CNC machining experience required
  • Accredited trade or vocational school machining certificate
  • Experience setting up and operating mills, lathes, and other machine shop equipment
  • Ability to machine parts to precise specifications and required tolerances
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
  • Basic CNC editing and offset adjustment experience (CNC machines)
  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, radius gauges, and machinist protractors
  • Knowledge of machine tooling, fixtures, and safe machine operation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain accurate production records
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Commitment to workplace safety and housekeeping standards
  • Ability to work overtime as business needs require
Equivalent Experience/Education

An accredited machining trade or vocational certificate may substitute for one (1) year of CNC machining required experience.
